Our 8th Anniversary!

Happy 8th Anniversary! For our anniversary this year, Greg took us to Branson Missouri. It was pretty fun.

It took us about 12 hours to drive there and needles to say Scottie was thrilled with the car ride! This is how he ended up about the time we were there.

Scottie and Greg surprised me the next morning with some beautiful roses, and a few donuts for breakfast. Scottie was cute and kept saying "Happy Birthday"

We got to see a few little shows while we were there. One of them was called Legends in Concert. It was made up of 5 different impersonation acts. The Tempations, Elvis, Shania Twain, The Blues Brothers, and Johnny Cash. They were good! Scottie had a lot of fun dancing along with the music.

And spent intermission running up and down the walkway!

We went to an amusement park called Silver Dollar City. It was a cute mining town themed park.

One of the first things you run into when you get there is a cute little train that kids can play on. We had a hard time leaving it!

There was also a little kids area where the kids could sit down and work on a few projects. It was a nice break out of the sun!

There was a magic show, a small circus on ice show and Scottie's favorite was the Veggie Tales show.

Best part was there was a real steam engine that we got to ride!

Along with a train robbery on the way through the park!

FOURTH OF JULY!

For the fourth we went up to this resort and watched fireworks on a hillside. We got to sit real close to where they were shooting the fire works. Scottie was so scared at first then at the end was really excited - when it was all over :) and cheered.

There was a fun little fountain show in the historic part of Branson. Scottie was too cool walking along with his hands in his pockets.

The fountain show included fire, which was too bright for Scottie!

No Vacation would be complete with out time at the pool! We swam almost everyday! Scottie could've stayed all day!

Scottie thought he was hot stuff after he got used to his floaty tube and would practice running and jumping into this 18in deep water. We got such a kick out of watching him.

We went to a dinner show called Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede. It was a fun pioneer type show. And dinner was served with no silverware. That was interesting! We got to see all the horses in the show up close and personal before (it was tough cause they didn't allow cameras in any of the shows)

One of Scottie's favorite things we did was go on a Duck tour. He kept asking for the 'duck boat' the whole time we were there. The tour took us through part of the city then drove out on the water. And the best part was that they gave us duck bill whistles that sounded just like ducks!

Wow! That was an update! What a fun anniversary trip. I've heard that's a fun place to go. We're excited to see you two in a couple of days. Caleb is getting plenty of hitting practice with his other cousins, so it should be interesting:) See you soon.
